The Arboretum Trust, Kew at Castle Howard
This peaceful valley is home to a collection of rare trees and shrubs. Walk or picnic in a secure environment, some of our most beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Enjoy our rare wild flowers appearing in this ancient parkland. Glimpse some of the great variety of bird life, green woodpeckers, owls, tits, and even our resident kingfishers.
An inspiration for photographers and artists, but most of all a tranquil landscape for everyone to enjoy.
Round off your visit with a visit to the new café, selling excellent tea and coffee and home made produce.

Walled Garden, Scampston

Designed by the internationally acclaimed Piet Oudolf, winner of Gold and Best in Show at Chelsea in 2000, his use of grasses and perennial meadow platning ensure year round interest, with a late spring border for keen plantsmen. Some rare plants are available for sale and the restaurant offers morning coffee, light lunches and snacks.

Harlow Carr, Harrogate

Harlow Carr is the newest and most northerly of the four RHS gardens.
The garden is seeing exciting new developments while retaining its uniquely tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. Probably the most spectacular are the dramatic new Rose Revolution borders that edge the path to "Gardens through Time". Their use of mixed perennials, grasses and roses beautifully combines sustainable practice, inspirational horticulture and a contemporary twist!
The garden offers interest for all seasons - from vegetables to wildflowers and alpines to woodland - and now the fabulous Bettys Café Tea Rooms and Shop offering delicious food and the best teas and coffees.
